My nephew Trent is a ball of energy. And that little ball was so excited to hang out with us Saturday night when we arrived. At one point he was down in the spectacular new basement jumping around on the bed with Hannah when - WHAM!! OUCH!!
Trent opened a little gash next to his right eye (thank God there was no issue with the eye!).
So, at about 9:30 PM Steve, Trent and I were off to the emergency room for a couple stitches.
Trent was a rock. He did awesome. Check out those cool stitches he got!
Here's a closeup picture Hannah took for you sickos that love details!!

Those stitches look very similar to the ones Rachel had to get after a run in with a knife!
In order to reduce waste and "Go Green," the hospital in Michigan probably recycled Rachel's old stitches and reused them on Trent as part of an inter-state resource sharing program. That's most likely the reason they look familiar. It's all part of our new health care system. The government's slogan is "Helping Hands Health Care: Just Hope You Don't Get Hepatitis."
Yikes. They did ask if I wanted to donate my stitches. Glad I could help! If he needs someone to take them out I'm pretty sure I know a good eye doctor!
