Rafting the Truckee
A bunch of us lazily rafted down the Truckee River while in Tahoe. Tim decided to be our nature photographer and captured these pictures of the event. Thanks Tim!
Jon and Rachel:
Here's more of our crew; Hannah, Anna, Emily, Taylor, Aaron, Courtney and Blake:
And here's Tod and Julie.. going through the rapids at the end of the trip.
Hey padre, it looks like you're missing part of your paddle; did you break the cardinal rule of Truckee River rafting and use your paddle as a push rod to dislodge yourself from a perilous rock?
joel. great observation. in fact, it is just a little stub of an oar. i think it is part of what was meant to be a bigger one! in any event... i wasn't much help in rowing. i figure the river continues to push you along.. so as long as you keep your hands and feet inside.. not too much can go wrong. i mostly just enjoyed the ride ;D
Tod and Julie are Empty Nesters! .. with two amazing kids (Joel and Hannah) that we simultaneously miss deeply.. and cheer madly as they blaze their own trails in life. Joel is married to Carissa and they have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren; Ryan and Cailin!

Julie has had bad rafting/canoeing experiences...looks like this one was better!
