I'll be down in Eugene all day tomorrow at my first outreach conference for Talking Books.
just finished season 2 of Jeeves and Wooster. Hilarious. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie are brilliant.
Ate the best apple pie ever for dinner.
Joel! Beat wishes at your conference. Enjoy!
thinking about making the move to Sprint. Only 4G phone in the country, better prices for data plans, and they really are unlimited. Let the campaigning begin!
some people at work really like Sprint! and it is very cool that you can keep your old phone number when you move.
enjoy shopping. it is fun. what phone are you thinking about?
btw... how did your conference go?
btw.. an update on our transition to ATT:
a. love the iPhone. it is one slick device
b. as expected, reception is not as good as Verizon - but tolerable so far. worse situation is at home (arggg)
c. love rollover minutes. provides a safety net and allows us to share fewer minutes knowing we have banked rollover minutes
d. ATT just announced (with arrival of new iPhone) they ended unlimited data plans in favor of a tiered pricing system. glad to be a customer before the switchover (we can keep our plan as is)
e. invisiShield is an awesom screen protector (thanks for the referral joel)
f. if you are willing to wait.. you can get almost all iPhone accessories on the cheap on eBay from Hong Kong. be patient and save a bundle!
I was thinking about the EVO 4G, but after looking into the situation a bit more, it makes better sense to stick to Verizon. So now I'm looking at the Droid Incredible.
To cover the cost of adding data to my line I decided to nominate myself to Team Coordinator, and was voted in yesterday. The added responsibilities bring with them an extra 5% a month.
i've heard good things about the incredible. it's very zippy running apps!
way to go on your funding effort ;) also.. suggest you check with verizon to see if the state of oregon employees get a discount. i didn't realize for YEARS that ITT employees did. missed out on 20% savings for 2 years. ouch!
