Happy 'fiddieth' Birthday Lurinda!

Happy Birthday Sis! Yes, it's my much older sister Lurinda's birthday! She's fiddy. That's 50 for those of you in Casnovia.

Since she's been my sister my whole life - I kind of like the girl. Oops.. woman. Ooops... old woman. So, I wish I could be with her today to celebrate. I can only imagine what her peeps have already unleashed on her. Vicki.. you owe our audience a complete report!

Unfortunately, I'm here and she's there so I'll just leave it at this. Enjoy sis! You are loved and missed here in the big CA.

Oh, and here's what 50 Cent, himself, had to say when I told him it was your birthday:

“U like a trackstar running thru life, chasing ur dream.”

Happy Birthday Lurinda!

Vicki and I used to leave you notes on your car when you subbed for the Middle School. Did you have a Dodge Dart too??

And Tod..you are jumping to conclusions, that the people in Casnovia read your blog!!!

okay.. first off maggie (the dodge dart) was MY car. so, let's speak lovingly of her. i loved that car.

next, when i typed the blog entry in it read 'Kent City'... but I changed it to save your feelings ;)

and... btw.. they claim they DO read it. but linda says 'we're still trying to figure out someday how to leave a comment'! too funny.

I totally believe the 'leaving the comment thing'...I can't do everything for them!

Tod, I will say that the day was magical ~ we were transported back to being carefree kids, finding the fun in everything and laughing so hard our sides ache, yet today! Going along with your sister's love for photography, our quest became one of finding the alphabet in anything we saw. (new fad). We traversed our coast from Saugutuck to Muskegon, searching for the best beach on Lake Michigan! I think Holland (Tunnel Park) wins! I will say after testing the water at every beach that we stopped at~~~the waters is "frickin' COLD"! But made for some good jumping shots...(your tradition lives on) and Pee Wee has some good ones to share (AND some she should not!). She was serenaded and spoiled from sun rise to sun set, as she deserved. We were able to treat her to some new experiences and with pleasure, we celebrated her birth!

Thanks to all. My birthday was truly magical due to the great friends I have...it started with Pat trying to get into the house with 7 colorful balloons, take note not black ones! Ended with a soak in the hot tub with my friend Vicky. And in the middle, many memories full of laughter, laughter and more laughter (some times so bad we had to pee). As Vicky pointed out, we are trying something new in photography, yet to be determined if will be shared. Many pics, some to be shared...some to be deleted but kept only in our minds...we know just how funny it was to make them.

My wish for all is the opportunity to share your future birthdays with friends and family as great as mine. Remember a birthday is getting old but acting young...LIVE, LOVE and LAUGH my friends.

Oh by the way my young bro...remember you are not very far behind...the big 50 will be upon you all to soon too!

I hope you look forward to turning older as much as I was in getting to 50 this year. As you may think this would be a dreaded day, just the opposite...a celebration as I can now again play this year with my team! Getting older has advantages....

Never would have thought it would be so much fun to turn 50 but can honestly say hope everyone feels this good when someday they reach such a milestone in their lives (Again, Tod get ready you are not that far behind)
